finally got my 6 ft dish setup

You place your Angle Finder on the Square Tube that is your Main Axis - the point on which the Dish rotates.

If you can look at my pics here.my first 2 showed my meter which is correct. Also the next 2 my long elevation screw I've been going from 36.5 to 47 .which is the correct one for this screw. Also 72 w has only one cband transponder is it even on

In your first Pic of the Angle Finder, its showing 50+ Degrees, and you need to raise it to 37 or so.
Straight up is Zero

Ok I set my elevation to 37. Now what do I need to do making progress here

Now you need to set the Declination.

Did you checkout the video i linked above!it does explain things abit.Heres my dish!The declimation angle in my case is 48-42=6.(the differance between the two angles).

Here's what I did. I set my elevation on my polar axis angle to 37. I put the meter on the ring and I got it to 42 degrees adding my declination.I'm I correct on that and how come my elevation is listed as 47.7 and my lattitude is 36.5 which is what I'm guessing I set my elevation too on the polar axis angle.I'm slowly understanding it

ok lets see if i got this right!If your latitute is 36.5!then Looking on the modified polar chart that gives you a elevation angle of 37 and a declination of 5.22.so you add 37+5.22 making the polar angle 42.22. So your 37 would be my 42 and your 42.22 would be my 46.

Do these look right.first pic is of my polar angle which I have set as 37 as you can see by my second pic. The last pics show I'm guessing total elevation not sure.I guess I set the declination still not too sure. Anyway turned it from left to right on my true south direction. Didn't see anything.I've been using the old nfusion nova I had sitting around outside for my signal meter instead of the openbox.is that a problem.now that I set my polar angle at 37 and all that do I need to touch it again at zenith.
