They all had gains this 4th Quarter

I suspect at this point that most cable/satellite users are much like those who continue to use a land phone line. Older folks who are used to doing it that way and not yet ready to fully trust the internet.

Spoken like a true city dweller. There are still tens of millions of folks in this country who don't have a reliable, affordable broadband option. Most of my neighbors, old and young, use satellite TV as it is the only reasonable solution. Broadcast TV doesn't reach us here either.

I'm over 65 years old, but I've stayed on the cutting edge of computer technology most of my life. Most of the people my age who I know and interact with are very much in tune with the internet and what it offers. We welcome any workable options to cable/satellite which can save us money (on a fixed income). Unfortunately, for many of us, streaming television is not an option.

Even as a city-dweller, I still find much of the content I'm looking for on traditional MVPD delivery, and not online. It isn't about being ready to make a change, it is that the change would exclude a lot of content still.

I'm in the burbs now. I did not mean to impugn anyone. And perhaps I should have said for those who have a choice. BTW, I qualify for the senior discount myself.

Most Millenials are perfectly happy to use the Cable/Satellite model as long as the old man pays the bill that is.
