Weird that they was launching them fairly often and once the service was announced nothing has been added.Any new channels in testing ?
Many (if not all) of these channels were already available via authentication using polished streaming apps on modern streaming devices.Weird that they was launching them fairly often and once the service was announced nothing has been added.
For sure. Just helps with ease of having everything in one place and as a bonus we can record. Many (if not all) of these channels were already available via authentication using polished streaming apps on modern streaming devices.
When the guide becomes an unmanageable mass of channels (more than it already is), you may rethink your appreciation of "everything in one place". I find the "watch next" feature of most streaming devices very helpful in keeping what I'm currently watching together.Just helps with ease of having everything in one place and as a bonus we can record.
this comment is relatively pointless, but you made it anyway. who's to judge what other people want to record? the feature is there to be usedRecording is relatively pointless unless you intend to watch the content repeatedly; especially if the recording can't be transferred.
To what end?the feature is there to be used
My bad. I was painting DIRECTV in its best light and that wasn't appropriate in this streaming-oriented thread.Directv Stream only saves programs for 9 months. But at least we can record the Streaming channels to watch later
A great argument when allowed by the content owner. The obvious reason to record is the ability to skip commercials.
Most self-respecting streaming apps keep track of where you are in a particular episode and offer a shortcut to go directly there. The better apps can keep track of this information for multiple viewers. This becomes even more problematic when you stop a program at the end of one day and want to pick up the following day. It's a crap shoot if you'll be able to forward to the point you wish to restart.
