I guess the categories I have a problem with are at bats, games played, games started, appearances and innings pitched.
games played and started...I dont think should be rewarded..and At bats are kinda funny to calculate. If two teams get to the plate the same amount of times and one team makes all outs and the team makes all outs but gets a walk...he loses the AB category. The reply would be but he makes it up in the walks category, but still the fact is a team in this scenario would get credit for being worse.
I think if the innings quota was 50 then that would take care of sandbagging pitchers.
This isnt criticism..its an opinion. In real life I ran the Babe Ruth Baseball league in my home town for four years when I was 25-28. So believe me I know you cant keep everyone happy.
