Extra receiver for Box Owners $299 *

I did an online chat with a CSR last night and was told that new receivers for Box Owners are now only $299 (Down from $499). I saw that one person on this forum all ready got this deal - anyone else? That is a much better price but I will wait for the DVR - maybe an additional receiver with a DVR will be even less than $299.

Confirmed. I got the deal for a new receiver as an add-on. It is $299 and that includes installation and up to 125 feet of RG-6. Currently I have VaVaVoom, and have had it since January 2004 @ 79.90 per month. They are giving me a price break for the next two months, and charging 39.90 + 5 for the new receiver. It is nice to feel appreciated, and this is NOT an April Fool's post.

Not a good time to buy a new receiver, IMO. That might change in the next few days.

Probably right, Walter. They scheduled the installation for 4/11, so I can cancel up till 4/10. We'll see what happens this next week.

Cancelled additional receiver installation / purchase. Makes no sense whatsoever to proceed down that path, in light of what is happening today. I'll keep what I have and see what happens during the rest of this month.
