experiments on dishes.

a couple weeks back i was aiming an old rca dish 18 inch dish hooked to a direct tv. i hit a signal with my analog meter and knew it wasnt 110 or 119, so i plugged up a fta rec and was hitting amc 1 ku. i always heard you cant gt other sats with this small a dish, i hht 2 channels, they were tv latino and tv english. i didnt exp more then as i was at someones house but i did hit a non dish or direct sat with this old 18 incher. i was curious if any of you have ever found anything strange with your sats before? i am gonna take a c band lnb out to the primestar dish one day and see if i can hit any c band on it.

that was AMC4 and those channels are a thunderstick (very strong signals)...those can be had on a 18" dish...I use to have a DirecTV Phase II with a KU LNB for AMC4
