Existing Customer Problems... Again....

I'm pretty new to DishNetwork, having only had the service for 6 months. I'm not on a lease of any kind, and have the DVR-510 that I got for free with install through a local dealer.

However, like many others, I'd like to upgrade to the 721 or 522, and can't seem to get this capability without being told to go to Sears and pay $349 for the unit. Is it an option to close my account, then open another DishNetwork account under my wife's name and get the new customer deal?

The current account uses my mobile # as my home number, so the only thing that would match up would be my address and my wife's last name.

Whatcha think??

All I want is a PVR/DVR that will allow me to watch MNFootball while recording my wife's shows on another channel at the same time. I'm not interested in having two TV's or switching the antenna on my television.

Which DVR would work best for this??
