+1ESPN and LeBron James. Everything wrong with professional athletes and sports "journalism" in a single nutshell.
The Decision is a huge indictment of 3 Factions in particular
1.NBA This is what happens in Spades when your endlessly promote the Star System over all other facets of the League.
2.LeBron- Hard to imagine anyone that comes off as this clueless even when hiding behind a cadre of sycophants, apologists and (ahem.. advisers)
Unfortunately this nonsense starts at the AAU level and is more prevalent in the hoops game than other sports.
3.ESPN- an absolute travesty that they turned over (whored out) this hour for a primetime infomercial.
Still the most revelant point I've seen in the millions of words written on this came from David Letterman's Head Writer.
With the following spot on take. "Kept my 3 year old daughter up to see "The Decision"
So she could see the exact monent our Sports world hit rock bottom.
