Error 002 Lost Signal

Hi,

I have this problem, I get the 002 "Lost Signal" every day and then at night the channel is works fine. This only happens on some channels, but the same channels, and it has been going on for a long time. I've had the "Family Pack" and didn't care if 203, and 205 didn't come in during the day. Now I have "The 250 Pack" with a lot more missing channels during the day.

I have a "Twin 500" dish and a DP311 and a DP510 DVR. Sometimes the DP510 will receive the channel when the DP311 won't.

I have an idea this may have something to do with the sun shinning on the dish. The error messages will start about 10:30 am, and then back to normal in the evening.

I had this happen a while ago. I had a spare LNB, swapped it in and the problem went away. (threw the old one away)

Thanks a lot.

I kind of had an idea the problem was a temperature sensitive dish. I didn't want to go and throw money at the problem until I got other opinions.

What kind of signal are you getting on 119 transp. 11,19 and sat 110 transp 11?

Hi,

I had to waited until today so I could get the readings for when the receiver was error free, and today when it wasn't.

Receiver ok; 119 degrees transponder 11, I get 78. Transponder 19, I get 75. 110 degrees transponder 11, I get 78.

Receiver with error: 119 degrees transponder 11, I get 74. Transponder 19, I get 72. 110 degrees transponder 11, I get 77.

What does this tell you about my problem?
