Here's another website that I found that has the ratings: ABC 2019-20 Season Ratings (updated 11/4/19) - canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale
Well, we at least have the rest of this years episodes to come ... before the Christmas break and I would hope once everyone comes back from the Yew Year break.Agree totally with you, nothing official yet, so... my hope isn't dead yet.
If it's officially cancelled by ABC, I would agree with you and hope to have it continued in another platform, such as Netflix.
I still remember when old Cagney and Lacey show was cancelled, fans would write letters to the network and the network had to bring it back to life, actually twice.
So, in a nutshell, it is not officially dead, and if that is so, then it is still alive, this is not Schroedinger's cat who is both alive and dead at the same time.
Piper is still alive and kicking.

Well we'll see what happens. I don't have any dog in this fight because I don't watch it. So I'll just leave it alone and let someone else bring the bad news.If you look at those ratings, at least those are current as of today ...
You can't compare to last year, so that portion is useless on this particular situation ...
However, if you look at the number of viewer only, that would move them into the 8th spot out of 17 shows listed.
That looks better.
Also, what about the people that don't fall into the 18-49 group ... the rest don't matter ?
When I look at that list of ABC shows, there only 1 other show on that list that I will watch, thats Stumptown, which I have recorded, but haven't started watching ...
Is it worth it ?
If not, I'll just drop it.
The list to the right on that same sight, shows I would guess the Top 20 shows from all networks ...
and Emergence (14) IS at least On that list, so its not THAT bad.
I'm in the same boat as you. I've got 4 programs on my EHD from last year that were canceled and I haven't got to them yet. Trying to watch the programs that have survived. The Blacklist currently.I now feel torn about watching the rest of the episodes. A part of me feels like I should have known better than to start a high-concept sci-fi show on a major network in the first place. But there's a part of me that is still interested in these characters and wants to learn as much as I can, and hopefully have at least some answers provided.
The Blacklist currently.
Correct from an advertiser perspective. 18-49 is the magic sweet spot. It is what almost everyone cares about. There are certain exceptions when companies are trying to find a more targeted audience, but so far TV hasn't found the right way to hit those people. When we move to the next step of truly addressable ads by user (each viewer is going to get different ads that are targeted to them just like you do online today), then other demographics will matter more. Right now they can only report back that certain demographics saw the ads, not that they were directly targeted. For instance, if you are a person that has been to Burger King 1 time in the last 30 days (as reported via your phone's location services to your Comcast ISP) and you see an ad for Burger King on your Comcast cable subscription, then you go to Burger King more than 1 time in the next 30 days, then Burger King pays more for that ad. It is very interesting. Also, what about the people that don't fall into the 18-49 group ... the rest don't matter ?
If your talking about this year they're on my DVR . I was talking about season 6.I'm loving The Blacklist, I had some good laughs last episode when Red accidentally murdered that guy.

I would HATE that ... it's bad enough that you get that crap online.Correct from an advertiser perspective. 18-49 is the magic sweet spot. It is what almost everyone cares about. Hate it all you want. It is coming. The first step is already here. As soon as the technology advances enough to do direct targeted delivery it will happen. Interesting though, why would you hate it? If you are watching an ad wouldn't you rather see something that relates to you as opposed to some ad for a medication that only impacts women over 50?I would HATE that ... it's bad enough that you get that crap online.
At that point I think I'll quit watching TV or make sure to disable the GPS feature on my phone.
In the 18-49 demo, Emergence did better than NCIS: New OrleansLast night's ratings show an improvement
on the demo (i.e. young people) there was a 34.62% increase
in total viewers a 33.35% increase
so total in demo 0.70 and for total viewers 3.471
I still hope for ABC to order the rest of the season
Well don't shoot the messenger: Emergence Cancelled Without Season 2 On ABC (EXCLUSIVE) - Cancelled or Renewed TV Shows - TV Scorecards
The website sends emails every other day and they persist they have been canceled. I don't where they got their info from but they would look foolish if they renewed it. I went to my browser too and couldn't find anything after I saw that the show was being cancelled on that website. I have been following this website for 3 years or so and they've been very reliable in their statements. For all of you who watch the program I hope they don't cancel the show. As said before you get into a program that you enjoy and the networks pull the rug from under you.Just how confident are we in the source of this original cancellation announcement? When I google "Emergence Cancelled," all the other articles only speculate about whether it will be cancelled, including this one posted today: https://www.cancelledscifi.com/2019/...-or-cancelled/
If ABC had made an official announcement about its cancellation, I would think the news would be posted by numerous reputable websites that focus on the entertainment and TV industry.
