Emailed FCC commissioners about receiving out of state locals.

It will only translate into lower Nielsen ratings if Nielsen families are subscribers to distant locals. How many of those are there nowadays?

Disclaimer: I was a Nielsen household and a distant/Superstations subscriber for almost two years. What a pain in the @$$ that was. Someday, I will tell my story.
That is true in practicality, but when have the NAB lobbyists ever been practical? They want their exclusive laws no matter what.

I won't go into my rant about the antiquated ratings gathering process that should have been wiped out/modernized years ago.

Once again, most people have it BACKWARDS. The laws needed are to OVERRULE the contractual agreements stations have with program providers, not the other way around. As I said in my previous ignored post in this thread, station buy programming for their region. They pay EXTRA to make that programming purchase an exclusive to their area. The program provider AGREES to sell the program EXCLUSIVELY to one station in each region. All the feds can do is OVERRULE a contract between two private individuals (corporations).
