Email from Dish - DISH would like your feedback! - is it legit?

Just did one. It is fine and legit. Questions about expectations of service and actual experience from BEFORE subscribing, and then same questions from most recent experiences as a current subscriber. It seems more of a marketing survey than a "tell us what's wrong so we can fix it" survey. I don't really know, but if someone out there does, do tell.

My survey was regarding the Superstations Package: how often I watch them, was I aware that I have similar stations in my Locals package, and what my response would be if Dish removed them.

I have a feeling the Superstations won't be offered much longer.

Did you post that info in the other forum also? Just trying to figure out if anyone else received that question.

Interesting. I got no such questions, and I am a Superstations subscriber. It is costing Dish to obtain the rights for national access from Tribune and they were offered before the LiL days, so I imagine Dish figures they can save some money and CONUS bandwidth and put those on spotbeams. At least they are trying to gauge how ticked we would be if they ceased offering them. In SD, they aren't as high in value as they were, but if Dish offered them in HD, well, I'm willing to continue to pay as that really increases their value to "us" Superstations subscribers.

I posted here about a similar survey I got last month. Other than the usal demographic stuff there seemed to be an interest in streaming media.

Dish pays a statutory fee for the superstations, it is set by the government, it is not a negotiation with the station owners. The station owners have elected to be superstations, they can decide not to be superstations if they wish to do so (like TBS did).

The only real hassle of the superstations is if a local wants syndication blackouts on the superstations which Dish has to do for syndicated shows.

It took less tyhan 50 hours for this to turn into a thread predicting the end of the superstations.

I got a similar email about 3 weeks ago but paid little attention. Like Jim WH mine had to do with streaming. I suspect DISH does a fair amount of this. HAve others received similar survey invitations?

CNN spamming my timers?

Just cancelled, question about returning equipment.
