Economy Remote work with all receivers?

Got a 301 at the lakehouse and have 2 TV's hooked up. Using a remote extender in the garage to run remote (take remote outside every time)

Will the economy remote

I just bought a few of the Platinum Plus remotes on eBay for $8/each...and he ships same day. They work with my 4900 and 508, so I dont know why it wouldnt work on a 301. You wouldnt be helping out Claude, but its a pretty good deal.
