Looking at this drive here: FD G-Force Hard Drive - GF1000EU - Buy.com

Can someone please provide their opinion?

If I get this drive, what will I need to do for it to work with mny HR21? Do I need anything else? Cables? Enclosures?

Specs look good to me. You will need to purchase an ESATA cable to connect to the HR2x and reprogram your shows to record. The HDD won't become active until you connect the HDD and Power Cycle the HR2x.
