Watching a Rush concert on PLDIA...for a 30-year-old band, these guys can still put on one heck of a show. Geddy can't do vocals on the old songs worth beans anymore (and who could?), but they play as well as ever and it sounds great in 5.1 to boot...

Watching a Rush concert on PLDIA...for a 30-year-old band, these guys can still put on one heck of a show. Geddy can't do vocals on the old songs worth beans anymore (and who could?), but they play as well as ever and it sounds great in 5.1 to boot...

You beat me to the post... I only have gotten halfway through... one of the few bands remaining who can still do the "metal and musicianship" thing well.

They start with 10 minutes of power trio, before doing any songs.

11/11 - 10pm ET
11/13 - 2pm ET
11/15 - 9am ET

Don't forget the 5 minutes early and 5 minutes late for Paladia... this time, they were running late, and the DVR caught the last two songs of a live Sex Pistols set from this year... I think enough time has passed that they now find those songs interesting again...

Stumbled across R30 also. Dvr'd it and sending to EHD.

Their medley of 10-minutes of power-trio jamming to start the show was top-notch! I recognized at least a dozen of their older songs, maybe more, in the non-vocal medley.

They did a very good rendition of Xanadu (one of my all-time faves), but ended it rather oddly, and then PLDIA didn't help by cutting into the end of it with a commercial break.

I'd have loved to have seen that concert on Rave...no commercial breaks...but alas, that'll never be.

Anyway, I Dvr'd it also and will send it to my EHD shortly.

I agree, it did look great. Nicholson did a great job in the role too. One of few films that I enjoy him in.

Just not much of a Nicholson fan...

DVR'ing Moody Blues right on HDNet. One of the very few groups that sound really good after the age of 50. Watched Rush last night. THey sure can jam and are probably one of the most talented group of musicians ever. However, Geddy's voice has lost quite a bit. Still very good.

Same here, will likely dvr The Thunderbirds also...Will give the R30 a few gigs also at 12 my time...and start watching Directv... (my team is off this week)
