Let's Spend the Night Together 9 pm 10/23

I recorded this last night and the listings said " (HD) ", but it was 4x3.

The original film is 2.20:1 .

That said, I would much rather see " Ladies and Gentelemen: The Rolling Stones " from their peak in 1972, which mysteriously has not been released on video, let alone HD.

That movie actually toured with a big sound system in 1974, so it was like seeing a live concert:

I recorded this morning... was watching the Today show when it switched in the BT (99") I believe it was full screen, but I had to stop the recording twice as the who went long...How about this Earl ? :D

Duran Duran Live at Wembley Arena

The Guide listed this as "December 2000" and in fact, there was a DVD of that show.

However this is the Reunion Tour show of 2004.

I was actually more interested in hearing the 2000 show, partially because the reunion studio album is - IMHO as a very long-term Duranie - cr*p (songs are okay, but poorly performed).

I watched it anyway, and I'm glad that I did, because they do a good job of performing their great songs of the 1980's.

Also, the setlist was a lot better than I expected - some of the beautiful atmospheric songs like "Save A Prayer" are included. And, most of the songs from their peak album "Seven and the Ragged Tiger" are performed.

BTW, it was shown in HD and DD5.1 (very bass heavy).

Now all Palladia has to do is re-air it for all of you (which I am sure they will do as they repeat everything endlessly).

Lots of notice for ya...these times may be one hour off since they are from the Dish Guide which is shifted due to DST

I'm pretty satisfied with my move from "Dish HD Platinum pack" to Dish's "HBO HD pack" (although Falling Down is one of the best unknown films).

For example, this weekend, I searched my Dish-HD-DVR for Trading Places and found that it is showing a couple of times today on HBO-CY-HD. I then searched for Coming To America (same director) and it is also showing today - on 5* Cinemax-HD (best penny I ever spent!). Both are in very nice HD - especially because Landis usually uses 1.85:1 aspect ratio.
