DVR Advice - Which One?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This forum has always been a GREAT source of info!

Here's the facts:
- I've been a customer since 1999
- I subscribe to the everything pack and hd pack
- I have an 811 and a 4900
- I want to keep my 811 on my hd set and want to 'upgrade' my 4900 to a DVR receiver on my upstairs set (non-hd)

My goals, in order of importance:
- get into a DVR as cheaply as possible
- be able to record a program upstairs and watch the recorded program downstairs - later, if that's even possible

Get a 508. No monthly PVR fee. Connect to upstairs TV with 508 S-Video output if your TV has a S-Video input. Run the RF output from the 508 downstairs to TV. Get a 2nd UHF remote off ebay to control the 508 when you are downstairs.
