DVR 522 Sound Out of Sync on Playback

I had recorded a DD 5.1 movie and was playing it back on TV2 using the RCA jacks. The TV1 audio goes through an optical cable to an A/V receiver but all of that stuff was off during playback. After more than an hour of playback, the sound got out of sync by almost a second with the picture.

Is this a known problem, a defective unit, bad karma, or what?

It is a typical bug, drives me crazy too. Sometimes you can skip backward or forward and it will get back in sync.

What I have to do is stop the recording, completely exit out of DVR mode (back to Live TV), and then return the recording.

Yep..I just noticed the problem this weekend. It was like watching a badly dubbed movie...the lips would move and a second later the sound would start.

This is a problem Dish Network is aware of and is "working to correct...."
