keep in mind that this monitor doenst have a tv tuner

Try it, you won't hurt either component if it doesn't work.
If it doesn't work, it's probably due to HDCP requirements though.

I have the DVI off my HD 811 running to a Dell 2007 computer monitor DVI input. I have also done both the S video and composite cables from the IRD to the monitor. All work 100% for me. I then have the L/R audio RCA jacks going to a small speaker system for my audio.

All works great though I wish the Dell monitor had a remote so I could turn it off without having to get up!!!!

By the way, the 2007 cost me $179 new on one of Dells 14 days of deals promos!

Oh thats good now that i know someone has it working

BTW can you link me to that CHEEP monitor, that price is unbeetable

You just have to watch & see...Dell (and others) have their "promos" occassionally. The one I got was four months ago and was part of the 14 Days of Deals promo. Each day they had three or four items on at incredible prices. Even their LCD TVs.

I thought $179 was a great deal for a 20" LCD monitor that could do HD!!!
