dubuque, ia local channel

I just moved and installed my triple LNB dish myself, I get all the non-local channels I should, but no locals. Am I to understand correctly that I need to install a second dish to get locals now?

If so, what do I need to connect the triple LNB dish, the single dish and cable(I have too many tvs so I keep cable also, but would like to be able to get directv and cable on all tvs that have receivers)
Sorry for the long question. Thanks

Depending on where you moved from and to, you may need to call D* to let them know you are in a different market. I learned this when I moved from Atlanta GA to New Orleans LA. Even though I still had a subscription to the Atlanta GA locals, I was out of range of the spot beam that carried that signal. Once I called D*, they fixed it and the new locals popped right up. :)

Welcome to Satellite Guys.

Yes, you need a second dish to get locals in Dubuque. If you agee to a new 1 year contract directv will do the install free of charge.

If you want to do it your self you will need to get a second dish and a 6x8 multiswitch. All four lines from the triple lnb and the 2 lines from the second dish go into the 6 inputs on the multiswitch and then you have the ability to have up to 8 receivers. There is a sticky with instructions for installing the 72.5 dish at the top of the directv forum.
