Theres a shortage of the switch across the board and minimal units coming to various subs, dealers, retailers, and DNS facilities. If your in a situation where more than 3 sats are required or a single ling solution is the only viable option a a dpp dual tuner such as the 622/625/522/322/921/942/721 then there may be a need to reschedule your work order or a temporary solution. A temp solution that my offices have been doing with superdish customers getting the 129 sat is to remove the sat feed that is not being used or the least impacted by its loss to incorporate the 129 until the dpp44 comes in and we are able to install it to provide full functionality to the customer.

Thank you.

Now, I'll just be over here in the corner, hurting the cat.

We received an email from DNS stating that very same thing a few weeks back, and yet the RSP I work with has an overabundance of DPP44 switches. I often wonder if it has to do with what markets require a superdish. Other than a few international channels, this is primarily a 110/119 region I live in. You would think that Dish would ask for an overall inventory from all warehouses and shift said items to warehouses that need them.

Holy smokes!! $195 for a DPP44???

Tempting for a person in my position to just buy them from the RSP I work with and sell them at that kind of price as well! Last time I checked, I can purchase them for $160 apiece.

Of course, they are at full price, and I'm not sure whos dumb enough to buy one for full price on ebay.

If there really is a shortage maybe Dish should investigate why some people have tons of them and selling them on ebay instead of doing customer's installs.

No Shortages here, just ordered 4 of them the other day from my distributor.

Besides that there is no market for DP44 plus switches on ebay when there are stolen ones being sold for as little as $75.
