Dp311 video problems

Hello,

I've tried looking around a bit for a possible solution but no results. Anyway here is my problem.

Last night when I went to switch channels, the picture from the previous channel froze on the screen and changing channels just resulted in the frozen picture. I turned the receiver off and unplugged it from the outlet for awhile to reset it. Didn't help. I've checked the signal strength and switch, everything checks fine. In another post someone wrote of "trying to switch to channel 100 to download the guide". Nothing is working. Now the picture is gone but I have a garbage signal running vertically down the middle of the screen. The guide works fine, just no picture. Any info on what might be wrong? Thanks

Unplug rx, immediately Run switch check (menu , 6 , 1 , 1 ) . If this doesn't work and everything is checking out fine, then call dish and ask for a "hit" . It sounds like the rx is bad but this should verify it. Wish you had a 2nd rx to try in its place to verify.
