DP301 Forgot Password. Help!

Is there any way I would be able to retrieve my lock code without erasing my settings? Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to Satelliteguys!! Your best bet would be to call DISH themselves.

If your birthday on your profile is correct, your parents probably set the password to prevent you from doing what you are planning on doing!

It's issues like this that make it the policy to have to call DISH themselves. If I was a parent who had a child under 18 I wouldn't want them finding an unlock code to unlock adult programming.

fyi, I believe the only way to get around the code is to call Dish, Dish has no way to look into the reciever and find out what the code in the box is, so therefore they would have to reset the box, killing ALL preset setting. So in other words, you're parents will find out.

Well, of course there is a way, you can dump the boxes NVRAM (using the remote actually), and get the code, but .... your too young for that one

do what I did at that age: wait til Mom is gone, and then ask Dad. always worked for me
