Hi folks Newbie here,
I am trying to find out if anyne has experienced a multi dual tuner with dpplus and a plus 44 switch & mustcarry for voom?
I am wondering if the must carry input on the DPplus lnbf works with a DPpluss 44 sw or am I going to need to run another cable to the 44 sw three stories down and into the garage?
I have an install with 1/924 3/811 1 322 + voom m/c I normaly would send the m/c straight to the dpplus twin input and of to the recievers anyone know if this will work with a pluss 44 sw?
This guy has a 3 million dollar home and wants as little cable as possible
Thanks

Welcome to the forum, sat man do!
Your question will probably be answered quicker in the Dish Network forum.
If you don't mind, I am going to move your post there.

You are going to have seperate wires to your DP PLUS 44 switch for 61.5, 119, 110. Your Dish pro plus Twin defaults to 119 and 110 only when you use a switch and the LNBF input shuts off.

Welcome! :)

What rowe tried to say is that you can not use the DPP-Twin input port when you are connecting it to an external switch. In fact, just like a DP-Twin, the DPPlus-Twin "reverts" to acting lke a pair of DP-Singles when hooked to an external switch.

Next, you're going to need more than just a DPP44 to hook up those SEVEN tuners. There's several options depending on needs.

Finally, please do NOT say "SW44" when referring to a DPP44. They are NOT the same thing. A SW## is a Legacy switch. DP## is a DishPro switch.

Oh - and it's a 942, not a 924.

Thanks guys that is both what I expected and feared.
Also Sorry About the the dpp44 reference as sw44 I know better but I was in a rush, (as always) , and did not check my typing spelling or anything else as I was running out the door. Kind of like now. I am going to cascade the dpp44 into a 34 I can feed the 811's of the 34 and the 942 and 322 off the dpp44. I haven't done a system this big with a 61.5 must carry. Being in the mountains of California I don't gat to hit 61.5 that often.
Thanks for the help.

I don't believe you can cascade a dp34 switch off of a dpp44 switch you will need all dpp 44 switches because they are different technologies. But if you try run the 942 and 322 off the dpp 44 switch for the dual tuners and 811 off the dp 34 switch or just use dpp 44 switches if your buying everything new.

rowe - Sorry, you're incorrect here. You CAN trunk (cascade is something else) DPP44 & DP34 switches, with the obvious limitations (4 vs. 3 sat ports). The DPPlus features will work on the DPP44 receiver ports.

can someone help me with what i need to do for hookig up a 624 and two 311's in a prewired house that has only one coax to each room. p.s. they do not want to hook up the daul tuner tv 2 going to use pip in that location? thanks!!

You would have to use a DPP44 switch. You can use A DP Twin to feed the switch if you are only using a Dish500.

You would use a DP Seperator on the 625 (not 624) to feed both inputs off 1 wire.

Best bet would be to install a 625/322 setup using a DP+Twin. Diplex the TV2 from the 322 and that is that. Good luck.

Newbie... Dish522 w/Expressvu Dish?
