Doomed Dish Installation Of The Day

How about this setup??? whereismydish.JPG

I spotted a good one the other day on Hurley Mountain Road recently in your area. It's a dish mounted at guardrail level along the southbound side.

That's just a few miles from me. I'll have to go take a look at that one. You have me curious. Could you narrow down the location for me.

My neighbor up the street lives with a very steep hill behind his house, the west side of his property. For as long as I can recall he's had this dish perched majestically upon his roof reaching for a view of the satellite.

A couple of months ago this new setup appeared. It appears to be pointed in the same direction as the other dish (SSW) but as you can see, it's just a few feet from the street. This is in upstate New York. We get plenty of snow here and I fear for this dish the first time a plow hurls a wave of heavy snow in it's direction.

And as unsightly as it may be, they made it worse by using the awful orange cabling.

What do you think? This neighbor is very meticulous about his yard. I'm surprised he allowed this to happen. I'm betting it'll be knocked out of alignment with the very first snow. It's already leaning a little off true vertical.

The 119 Sat is prob at 125 skew, so of course it has to be set in the yard as far as possible in certain installs. And i notice where is the 110 LNB
on that dish?

I live down state and after a few snow storms especially by the driveway that would be covered. Never mind I could see a plow truck or two aiming for it.
I wouldn't want to deal with his wife when something happens during a snow storm.
