Don't want local channels

I just signed up for the latest promotion with the 811 (no charge lease) which I thought would be 25/month.

Instead, I was quoted 29/month because I was being forced to get local channels? I can't seem to find where on the website/promotion materials it says that local channels were required.. or does it?

They claim I cannot remove programming (local channels) unless I actually own the equipment. That, of course, makes no sense.

I currently receive local channels via cable (free w/ modem). I will also receive digital/hd local channels OTA with the 811. Worst case, I get all my local channels with perfect reception analog OTA as well.
So now with dish, I will have 4 sources for local channels !!

Also, I don't care that the dish local channels will be integrated into the guide etc. I'm more concerned about saving 5 dollars a month.

In addition, I heard that I will not be able to keep my 811 if I remove the HD package after the 6 month promotion is up.. anybody know the details on that?

I guess this is just a rant.. unless someone knows otherwise?

Smokey and the Bandit car. :up 4 sp. or auto?

I had a 77 T/A but it wasn't a special edition. It was painted "Goldenrod Yellow" with black and gold graphics. I loved it. Unfortunately so did the cops. :D

Me too, but viewing them off the satellite is better for my 311's that don't have OTA, because I don't have to worry about switching video input sources. Those old TV sets aren't as versatile as my HD set.

dfw - cbs digital out?
