I have a set of Radio Shack triangle IR/UHF senders. I tried using them at a friends house for his SD DVR and it didn't work, it does work for my Dishnetwork 211 HD reciever. I currently have a 50ft HDMI cable running to a 2nd LCD HDTV in my bedroom and I am hoping it either has UHF or anyone have the same Rat Shack item I have.

Thanks

Are you attempting to point your IR remote at the remote extender, and have it communicate directly with Directv receiver? No, it can't be done.

You can use pair of those, transmitter & receiver, to send the IR signal into another room, then have receiver pyramid fire the IR signal to the front of the directv receiver.
