Does a Hughes DirecWay LNB work on primestar dish for FTA?

I think this one is the stacked lnb ( i'm sure someone who has one will chime in and let us know.


there is also another lnbf from hughes that looked almost the same as the old beer can type lnbf on the primestar.
the reason it might be better its newer ( probably had a slightly lower noise level ) would match up to the feedhorn from the primestar. would combine H & V from the older primestar lnbf's into one.

there are probably cheaper ones to get out there. most all you can adapt to fit the primestar dish. it just won't have a perfectly matched feedhorn for the primestar and will probably lose a couple of SQ & or Signal level points .

That LNB isnt stacked. Just a regular LNB

Looks just like the one on my direcway dish, does a good job for fta.

i think most people just use the original lnbf with the dishes
its hard to believe that a .08 or .07 nf lnbf could still work as well as they do
