DN 211 and component hook-ups

Hi, great forum here guys....
I am thinking of upgrading to the dish network ViP 211 for a single tv with my hdtv.
I have a dvd player it does have component cable hookups
I have an older Hi-Fi VCR with only rca hookups
and I am running a Sony 5.1 dolby surround sound receiver.

what is the best way to hook all this together...also want to use the HDMI cable for the best high def picture I can get.

What type and how many I/O inputs does your HDTV have? The 211 doesn't have a way to feed component through from the back panel like the 811 does, so I'm thinking that your TV may be the best place to tie it all together.

here is what the i have....
1 HDMI w/ HDCP, PC + Video, Plug & Play
3 Component + 3 R/L RCA Audio
(VGA connector accept 3rd component source)
RGB 15 Pin D-sub, PC + Video, Plug & Play,
Third Component Input + R/L RCA Audio
2 S-Video with R/L RCA Audio
2 Composite Video with R/L RCA Audio
NTSC/ATSC Combo Tuner

since you only have 1 HDMI input on the TV and only 1 source component with HDMI output (211), just connect the 211 via HDMI directly to the TV, connect your DVD player directly to the TV via component video and the VCR via composit video. You could then send RCA audio from the VCR & DVD player to your receiver. Your send the optical audio out to your receiver from the DVD player, if the receiver accepts this (most do). I also usually send an extra RCA audio from the satellite receiver to the audio receiver so I have the option of using the TV for audio or using the audio receiver for TV audio.
