Hi,

I am new to FTA, and glad to join this forum.

I am thinking to use DMS BSC621-2 in a small off-set dish, such as Winegard DS-3100 or Fortec FC-100CM, with Fortec Dynamic to receive C band.

Due to the policy and conditions of rental apartment, I cannot use bigger dishes.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

short answer:

Yes, it's been discussed at great length.
Here's your reading list:

Satcom1 on C-band with 84e dish

Linuxman on C-band with 1m round Primestar
http://www.satelliteguys.us/free-ai...-one-meter-primestar-mini-bud-experiment.html

At the end of the Linuxman thread, he has a list of possible satellites and transponders.
It's pretty thin on a 1 meter dish.

Some of the guys here run on 1.2 meter dishes (4 feet), and do a lot better.
Everyone seems to benefit if they use a conical scalar instead of a flat one.

You can search for more info but that's the basics.
If there is a particular C-band signal you are looking to get, just ask and you'll get a signal report.

Welcome to the forum. - :up
