I downloaded the newest player and encoder to 2 of my pc's... pretty good PQ on my X-1 on those Hd trailer clips...from the above url...also the player will play my Replay mpegs. I converted a Battlestar Galactica episode from a 2.38gig file to a 488 mb file and the Pq was amazing...(for that much reduction)
Bought same... back then, It also handles my Dvd DL's. Now on the divX site is a StarWars fan flick you can download as a Bit torrent... pretty good IMHO( 1/4 of the way through)as well as HD trailers...dfergie said:
My DVD recorder/VCR, the LG LRY-517, does DiVX. It also does +R -R +RW -RW and RAM. I haven't d/l a movie yet, but I plan to. The drawback is that the movie will only play on the entered DiVX player- you submit a machine unique code.
This stuff from DivX is free, should not need the code (my phillips has same thing) The Star Wars fan film is even CC... I burned to a disc and am going to watch in a few minutes after I finish watching the latest trailers from there...

Since they were recorded at Medium Quality on Replay from CBSHD although SD the PQ remains very good... plus it will allow me to clear out a lot of HDD room in my Htpc...when I get this done I still have BB5, Survivor Vanuatu, Palau and Guatemala to do...
