For several weeks, I was able to access DishRemote online, no problems. Then, it started showing a "not connected" message on the online site. I tried all the suggestions in the troubleshooting list: try resetting the connection on the receiver page; unplug and re-plug the receiver; check the ethernet cable connection; check the ethernet adapter plug and use a different port. Last night, "just for fun," I logged in to the DishRemote site, and was able to connect to one of the receivers (I just got a new 722K Sunday and hadn't bothered to do the broadband connection). Tried again this morning, intending to set up the 722K. Website said I was not connected, after trying, and failing, to get a web activation number for the 722K. So I have not idea how I was able to get connected on my other receiver (622) last night.
I am using a HomePlug adapter with ethernet cable from the router, and relying on the built-in broadband capability of the receivers, ensuring the power cable is plugged in directly to the electrical outlet, not into a surge protector.
Any ideas?
