does anyone know if this would work. I have a direct tv oval 18 x 24 dish, If I purchaced a dishpro dual lnb and stuck it on the direct oval, would it work as a dish 500?

The dish 500 goes for 70 bucks, the lnb is only 40. I already own the direct oval. Unless you know of cheaper way. I know you get them for free from charlie, but I already did that once. Trying to hook up my RV.

As long as you don't have a Phase 3 and don't mind cutting up your Directv dish. The Phase 3 does not have separate LNBs and DISH uses a "D" tube rather than Directv's rectangular mount.
