I currently lease a 811 from last year's promotion and own a 4900 for a 2 receiver account, so I pay a $5.00 leased receiver fee. I want to swap out my owned 4900 for a new leased 211. I'm being told by csr that I now have to pay an additional $6.00 lease fee for the 211 for a total of $11.00 in monthly lease fees , since I will have 2 activated lease receivers and my 811 was leased on a promotion. I thought the first leased receiver on an account was not charged. Boy, if its not one thing, it's something else!! Any thoughts on this?

Your first receiver is free of charge under Digital Home Advantage (DHA), but you'll incur a leased receiver fee if you upgrade under the Dish'n It Up (DIU) promotion. People wonder why customers purchase their equipment, but you have little choice given the fact you can only upgrade two tuners in any 12 month period.

Remember, for now you are paying an extra receiver fee for your 4900. That fee will be replaced by the lease fee. Sounds like only one dollar more a month and you will have the new VIP211.

I'm pretty sure your Dish'n It Up receiver becomes your primary under the promotion...somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, I plan to keep my leased 942 and buy a 622.

I replaced an owned 6000 which had the extra receiver fee with a Dish'n-it-up Vip211. Kept my owned 625 as primary receiver. When I activated the Vip211, I made a point of reminding the CSR which receiver I was replacing. It worked for me.

what riffjim4069 originally said was correct, the extra commentary was not.

Dish VIP622 buggy? Major problems here!
