Just got off the phone with csr to dish it up for a 722. She said I had to return my paid for 811. I said no. She said it was a requirement for the dish'in it up program. I declined and hung up. Where is this stated on their website?

This female csr had the worse grating, annoying, raspy voice I have ever heard on the phone. I swear her voice actually hurt my ears.

if you are getting the free dishinit up then yes you do. when i mean free, the ones that were offered to voom subscribers. if not and you are paying the 199 up front 100 back, possibly more if you are in a lower tier customer, then you do not.

If you have a leased 811 you may have to return it. Most receivers are leased from DISH do you have proof that you actually bought the 811 receiver. If you own it then you don't have to return it but seeing most receivers of that age were leases you are probably leasing. Look on your bill for DHA or DHP both are lease plans that were in effect at the time 811's were in use. The best suggestion is still choose the option for TECH support your odds are better of staying in the USA for help.

Sorry don't think so. I am a 9 year sub and have bought every receiver from the beginning. I am out of contract. Retentions next.
Just wanted to know where I can find their "receiver return policy" for this promotion in print.

I took the Voom upgrade in August and I did not have to give them my owned 811. I did though just to get the $10 and avoid the hastles of trying to sell it. My upgrade was $149 upfront, a $50 rebate and $10 off per month for 10 months. In the end FREE. :D

Why would he need to return a receiver he paid for? He bought it, it's his receiver. I'd say call back and try another CSR, or what we call the CSR's Roulette game. You get a different answer every time you call.

no you don't have to return any receivers to get another receiver w/ dish in it up

hey only has to return it if he took the free voom upgrade, leased or purchased. now if he did a standered dishin it up, then he does not. thats standered business rule. but as all you know, how often does dish stand to the business rules.
