Dish VOD& BlockBuster slow on Hopper

Hello i have a 2H/1J set up. And when i try to down load something on Dish on demand or Blockbuster@home the speeds are very slow. I have 15 meg internet tho my local cable company. The hopper is lucky if it down loads at 3.5 did everything i could think to do unplugged the hopper, did a reset on the hopper but the speeds are just way to slow. Does any one have any ideals of what might the problem be Thanks

Is your Hopper hard wired to the router? Have you tried running a speedtest on a hard wired connection to a PC to verify that you are truly getting 15mps download out of your router? I pay for 25mbs download speed and just last night I was streaming a movie and it displayed that I was streaming at 31mbs download on the IPVOD screen, so you should be able to stream at full or close to full speed capacity and it shouldn't be running that slow. I would personally check to see what speed my router is outputting to take that out of the equation right away.

Is your Hopper hard wired to the router? Are you using a wifi adapter or a Hopper Internet connector? If its hard wired, are there any switches in the path?
