Dish VIP 622

Hi There.

I want to have my DVD Record HD if say I have programs that are in HD on both channels.

For instance Wednesday night, lets say I record Criminal Minds in HD and then Bones in HD. Does this record do this. I know the HD DVR from comcast did it but to be honest that DVR Sucked badly.

The ViP622 & 722 record to the DVR in HD, yes.

if dish doesnt have your locals in hd then you can only record one of those shows in hd, since it only has one ota tuner. i wish they had split the tuner into 2 but oh well

Both Tuners mainly like if two shows are on at the same time i want to know if it does that.

The 622 has 3 tuners

2 satellite
1 ota

all 3 can be recording at the same time

They have 2 satellite tuners and one OTA tuner. So you can record 3 shows at once.

Are the shows you are trying to record coming from the satellite or Off The Air?

Both would be on the satellite.

I just trying mainly to find out if i record two shows in HD from the satellite at the same time they will both be in HD
