Hey all. I've been a Dish Network customer since 2002.
I currently have one of the old 522 dual tuner SD receivers.
I'd like to upgrade to a dual tuner HD. Either the 722 or the 922. The 922 would be my first choice because of its added capacity and the Sling features are pretty cool too.

First question is that my HDTV is a bit older. It uses component HD inputs (Y, Pb, Pr) and not VGA, DVI or HDMI. Will the 722 or 922 support this?

Next question, can anyone give me an idea of what the up front costs would be? I'd really like to do this for as little money up front as possible. I see specials all the time for new subscribers. How about specials for those of us that have been faithful?

Also, will they have to replace the dish or LNBs? I think the dish is a 500.

Thanks for your time.

up front cost for the 922 is $200, no way around that. if you haven't had an upgrade and are in good standing as a customer you may get the 722 upgrade free. they will replace dish with a new 1000.2 or 1000.4 depending on your location. as for other promotions, it's unlikely but you can still ask
