I didn't say they did.Your assuming that broadcasters have libraries of programming. I sincerely doubt that is the case.
That doesn't mean content creators won't produce in 4K. They see what has happened to the value of their SD catalogs and realize it's best to future proof the content.
It will be the same day that it is available, and noted on here.anyone know when the date is for the new 4k joey will be released so i can get one.
Pretty soon. Maybe mid Januaryanyone know when the date is for the new 4k joey will be released so i can get one.
You're not going to accelerate its delivery by asking the "when" question every chance you get. It doesn't work like that.anyone know when the date is for the new 4k joey will be released so i can get one.
By mid-January, we should have a better idea about when DISH plans on making programming available that would make a UHD Joey worth having.Pretty soon. Maybe mid January
4k Joey will be released on January 14, 2016.anyone know when the date is for the new 4k joey will be released so i can get one.
My bad. I did take what you said out of context.I didn't say they did.
Practically, yes. Marketable, no.Am I missing something here? What is the purpose of going to 4k if they're all going to compress the signal? Wouldn't it be better if they just sent 1080p uncompressed?
You took what I said out of context. The local stations have already jyst invested their money into upgrading to HD. I am sure that the majority are not ready to upgrade to 4k for a while.I don't understand. Haven't locals (the majority of them at least) AND cable/satcos ALL upgraded their equipment to HD?
Which sam is saying would apply to cable cos as well. You took what I said out of context. The local stations have already jyst invested their money into upgrading to HD. I am sure that the majority are not ready to upgrade to 4k for a while.
You don't know the cable companies around here. lol Sure, we have Time Warner, but there are (no exaggeration) about 100 OTHER "mom and pop" cable companies serving the viewing area.Which sam is saying would apply to cable cos as well.
But I don't agree. The financial outlays would be less and the cable cos have deeper pockets.
Why not just call it True HD?Practically, yes. Marketable, no.
