Dish Should Launch SciFI and USA today. Prove life after AMC-14 Total Loss

I agree that they should turn on 1 or 2 HD channels but for now all we can do is:

"Sing with me, sing for the years
Sing for the laughter, sing for the tears
Sing with me, if its just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good lord will take you away.

Dream on, dream on, dream on,
dream until your dream come true. "

More like:

Whatever will be, will be,
The future's not our's to see,
Que será, será."

Dish stock will not have much effort due to Dish's press release in March stating their plans remain on track to provide 100 HD Locals and 100 HD Channels in 2008. That being said, Dish stock will have a negative impact if they report their earnings and blame SES Americom for their increased churn rate and/or slow growth. There are no press releases at this time relating SES Americom and DISH network. People have short-term memories. Dish has until end of May before any significant impact on their stock and subs.

Not saying they would. I'm saying they should. :) Remember how negative the media was after the mislaunch? We're going to see a lot more of that. Bad media might mean damage to stock price. Way to calm things down, prove you can still progress your business.

I don't know if any thing will happen today (actually I doubt it), but the announcement of the death of AMC -14 should mean we will defiantly get some more HD on Wednesday the 16th. I think they will need a big PR event to off set this bad news, and according to Scott they were really close to letting soon happen, so I am betting that everything will line up for soon to be Wednesday April 16. Of course I have miscalculated when soon will actually be in the past, so take my thoughts for what they are worth.

What PI channels and and what law? Last time I checked, I didn't see any local access channel on my dish package. In fact I didn't see any hd local channels period. Hmm....D* is looking better and better to me after my NHL CI is useless.

Those are things like CSPAN, NASA-TV, and the ones in the 9396-9418 range. The FCC mandates that all carriers have to have some number of public interest channels. Cable companies can do local access stations, but sat companies will only do national-focused ones.

HMMM I wonder if Dish Stock prices going down has anything to do with TIVO and the cost of the Superme Court???

But soon we will have 70 national HD channels all are pay per view:hungry::wave

What size of Dish do I need?
