In my office that used to be the cats room, I tend to have the Washington State birds playing for them. All the dang time. I'm getting sick of those damn birds... but that's what they like.Dishscsapes has become boring!
I'm such a pushover....

Yes, but rather just a thunderstorm in the distance, no actual rain. I was expecting to see a rain shower in the foreground. I guess their rain plugin was broken the day of the rendering. The Zion National Park this month is pretty good. I love the rainstorm part.
Yeah, I liked it too. I didn't see much wildlife other than the seagulls. In fact, not much moved at all other than the schooner and the hot air lanterns, and the water of course.Unlike previous Dishscapes, the lighthouse one (on 198) is quite more animated and accurate. The shadows actually follow (sort of) the sun, there is a high and low tide that goes in and out, the storm and waves are very good. The one geophysical aspect not followed is the night stars don’t move with the rotation of the earth. But all in all, better than most.
Missed it.The huge thing looks like the Loch Ness Monster, more than an octopus!
If you are referring to the large reptile/flippered creature, it looks like it’s patterned after a Plesiosaur, an extinct Triassic aquatic reptile. This is the same creature that some have theorized is the animal behind the Loch Ness monster that somehow escaped extinction 66 million years ago.The huge thing looks like the Loch Ness Monster, more than an octopus!
There are both of them, Nessy and an octopus. I can see why American Girl said the octopus scared the heck out of her cat.The huge thing looks like the Loch Ness Monster, more than an octopus!
Thank you that's why I haven't seen it. My grand has her books stacked by the bottom of my tv for the last few days. Missing everything going on in that corner but me and her will be watching for him tonight ! Have a great one !Watch the lower left corner, you'll see him blinking on and off.
I noticed that it seemed interest in the monthly Dish Scapes waned a bit. I always look at them each month if only briefly, but I still look forward to the October and December Scapes. We haven't taken a look at Dish Scapes for a couple of months in this thread, but I saw that the EPG shows that the Haunted Mansion is coming back for October. Spookier than ever. I am guessing this is going to be the inside of the haunted mansion and not the outside. The outside of the haunted mansion is one of the best Dish Scapes they have done.
I was wrong - 199 is Outside! 198 is inside the Haunted Mansion. We haven't taken a look at Dish Scapes for a couple of months in this thread, but I saw that the EPG shows that the Haunted Mansion is coming back for October. Wife just said they added some stuff the to the old haunted house on ch.199.Ch. 199 haunted house is a rerun from a few years ago. We can't get the one on ch. 198 because we don't have a Hopper.
The inside one is actually the inside of a hotel, not the mansion. They did the inside of the mansion the year after they first did the outside version. As far as the mansion goes they added a whole lot of stuff to that one. The hotel one, however, seems to have issues. It constantly flickers and changes resolution/focus. Anybody else seeing that?I was wrong - 199 is Outside! 198 is inside the Haunted Mansion.
