DISH Reaches Long Term Agreement with DISNEY / ESPN / ABC

At the Direct TV site it looks to me a zip code in Philly does include BTN. Was DIRT ever asked to look into it?

I had BTN when I was with "them" They didn't exclude it. I'm still a little miffed that the website said that all BTN states got BTN, no exceptions listed, and that a Dish CSR confirmed that I'd get it. After signing up the real truth came out.

I think that before we see an uplink report, we will see a big news flash announcing the signing of the agreement. And I am sure Scott will post it minutes after it is released.

As far as Scott saying he had seen the uplink schedule for the rest of the month, of course he wouldn't see anything about Disney. We'll only see that info after the contract is signed.

Please stop being so &^%( logical. You're ruining the ambiance of the thread. I look forward to reading the latest rumors here. :)

I will believe it when bluegras makes the announcement :)

You never know, they could already be uplinked. There are lots of TEMP channels up there. It would be pretty easy to change the content without all of us even knowing. Then all they have to do is change the name/channel number.

4k? I want 8k and 2020 spectrum, HDMI 2.5 with optical support and preconfigured for Holosuite support! ;)

I'm not buying any more new equipment until the holosuite support is a reality. :D

I think a lot of people want that. The big question is more "at what cost?"

DirecTV may be more expensive, but its not that much more and they have access to at least the HD channels. And Comcast has access to WatchESPN. It simply can't be that much that competitors have it and Dish doesn't.

It really be a lot more. Contracts are signed at different times for each company. So it really depends on what the content provider wants and what dish can work out.

Im just sad that we dont have Showtime anytime... I hate the fact that even CBS will use Showtime as a bargaining tool against providers to get a contract done for other channels. Showtime is its own premium channel that subscribers pay dearly for!!! I would love EPNU in HD in the Forseeable Dish "soon" future! I Like Turtles.
