So the deal is to include a 24/7 Mars lander video?
If find the bolded hard to believe. How can ABC (any network for that matter) GUARANTEE viewers to advertisers? Yes, they can show how many viewers a certain show had in the past and predict it will continue, but a "guarantee"? Sorry, don't believe it.
I've always said Hawaii Five-O is a 60-minute Chevy commercial.
But, it is not known if the DVR was skipping commercials, since that function has to be selected by the user, just as the skip button is.Very simple if a commercial spot does not deliver the needed number of viewers as determined by Nielsen the network has to run it again to meet the sold number of impressions. Now of course if everyone skips it on their DVR that is not taken into consideration. But, if it was known that the DVR was automatically skipping commercials, the audience numbers would be highly suspect.
All channels will be back in HD - even the ones that weren't in HD before.
Personally, I'm waiting for the soon to be launched Bluegrass Channel HD. : (or is that bluegras Channel HD?)
Mike, there's two big problems with your logic...Very simple if a commercial spot does not deliver the needed number of viewers as determined by Nielsen the network has to run it again to meet the sold number of impressions. Now of course if everyone skips it on their DVR that is not taken into consideration. But, if it was known that the DVR was automatically skipping commercials, the audience numbers would be highly suspect.
