As long as sports rules the roost, people will keep paying. As more and more sports are pulled from OTA affiliates to the cable networks, people have no choice if they want to watch sporting event.
29 of the top 30 viewed events on tv this year were NFL games. Until people stop viewing sports in mass and the media conglomerates stop bundling everything together, it wont stop.

I am not sure this counts as "official word but I was told in chat and by phone that as an AEP customer I will see a $15 increase but a $10 credit for 18 months meaning a net increase (18 months) of 45.00. Not great but bearavble till the credits run out.
