I have DishNetwork and have a supper disht 105 it must be out of adjustment and disht network can't come to fix it for 3 weeks can anyone tell me how to adjust it myself?!?!?!

First let me say I have never set up a Super Dish, but I have realigned my own Dish1000 several times - these are my experiences.

If your dish is misaligned, there are 4 components to correct alignment:

Look up your zipcode on the Point Dish Screen (Menu 6-1-1). Dish system should be set on super and Satellite on 105. Use this Point Dish screen and the signal strength meter there to optimise your dish alignment.

Remember to only loosen one parameter at a time.

Either bring a receiver and small display out to the dish location or have someone watch the display and report results to you via cell phone or walkie-talkie.

1. First the mast or mounting pole must be absolutely vertical. You need a bubble lever for this step. Scribe the pole mount interface so you can replace the mount at the same axis and remove the dish from the pole. Shim or adjust the pole so it is vertical. Replace the mount (dish).

2. Now adjust the azimuth (compass heading) of the dish so your signal on your center satellite is as strong as possible and tighten the pole clamp.

3. Now we tweak the elevation. Note (scribe) the position of the elevation marker and loosen the elevation bolts (usually 2) so it can be moved in tiny increments. Adjust elevation up or down to get the strongest signal on your center satellite. Tighten the elevation bolts.

4. The last adjustment is skew, which is probably already set. Look at the signal strengths of the two side satelites if they are acceptable do not mess with skew. If not you may try rotating the dish to improve them, but be sure to mark the setting as it is before making changes.

You may have to go through steps 2 and 3 several times to optimise all three locations. If one is quite high and others are low, you can detune the higher one to increase signal strength on the others, and so forth.

Good luck.

Details as to what your problem is would be very helpful in determining if the problem is a dish out of alignment or not.

I called dish network and they took me throught a few steps and come to the conclusion that my dish is not looking at sat. 119 and that is my main sat.
