My accouont is configured like this and have all channels enabled. I don't have premiums.

Glad everybody is happy about this,Now I'll will share some info about the new promotion that start on Saturday and the changes for PR/USVI costumers.Starting Aug 1 PR costumers can install up to 4 rcvs(2 singles with 1 dual or 2 duals with 24 months contract)The new channels for latino program(already discuss on a Scott thread)only will be available on vip rcvrs.The new setup for new install wiil be 4' and 1 30" dish.DPP setup also will be available for new install, DPP 33 switches and lnbs(I don't now if al retailers will do it from the beginning).All new costumers who activate any HD receiver/program by Aug 1 will be FREE until May 2010.HBO and SHO will remain for3 months free.New costumers with any metal packages will have 15 dollars credit for 12 months,costumers who choose any latino package will get 10 dollars credit for 12 months.
Current costumers(PR)now can make recvrs upgrades their contracts.
Qualifies all costumers who have at least a year with DN,The swap must be the same equipment as the current costumer have,ex 301/311 = 211k ,single dvrs not clear if you will get a dual dvr like 612,622(those are the rcvrs available for upgrade).
The cost for upgrade is as follow:
211k or 222 = $49.99 with 24 month contract
612 or 622 = $199.99 with 24 month contract

Hey technoguy when i saw the chat they said that all of the Hd customers in PR that had the HD package will be free uptil may 2010 new and old customers.

well in the meeting why had today the(DN rep)said only new HD activaction will be for free until may 2010,and only current costumers with vip rcvrs but without hd programming and choose to activate them by Aug 1 will have the HD prog for free until may 2010.

Technoguy, a little bit of help...
Let's see if I got this straight. I have a 211. No HD (but with AEP I get premiums in HD). If I call tomorrow (July 31) and I get activated for the HD, I will not have to pay for it till May 2010? Or do I need to wait until Saturday to call?

My PR account is one year and 3 months old, if I dont want to swap my 625 and just add a 211 or a 612 can I do it with the 2 year contract offer.

There lies the problem for the customer that doen't have all the new channels yet. Mine used to have until 9:10PM tonight PR/HI/VI HDPACK

There' something wrong on our accounts, in the setup I mean, those were the words of an Advance Tech Support CSR.

I got some great news, but for me. I need another port for this

I am the person still having problems since my HD pack has not changed to HD enabled, HD pak it still says [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]AK/HI/PR/VI HD PAK[/FONT]

Well thanks to RDavidowski I have my channels back. I called Advanced Tech Support 2 times,and as Rich said, a Tier 2 Support did the trick. I spent about 45 min with him trying help and he told me that my USA and Scifi should be at 9431 and 9432. I used to get them at 5501 and 5t502 and he told me that those number belong to Alaska. It wasn't until then that he didn't escalated to another level. Then he returned and told me that my account was incorrectly set up. I wasn't getting ESPN, TNT and HDNET, those were red on the guide even though I got them yesterday after I lost my HD Package.

I was on hold for about 10 min and he returned to tell me that he didn't had the access and the other Tier 2 guy was helping. So after that he told me hat if I wanted the Platinum as I asked at the beggining, well I got them all now. I don't have the new PR HDs but I could care less, I have over a hundred now. I didn't have the Platinum before.

Regardind the PR HD Channels, just checking the gather info, those people that have the HD Pack already have all new PRHD Channels, but those who have the PR/VI/HI Package don't. That's what I mean when I told that many PR acconts are "incorrectly " set up, my guess so we couldn't get the USA-HD PACK.....

Rich, a very strange thing that you have the US and PR channels. But I guess you have the HD pack plus the Platinum....

i was thinking of hooking up 61.5w but there were some problems
1-the biggest dish I could get was 5.5ft
2- I live in the east coast of the island(fajardo) which makes it even a bigger pain in the ass to get the signal with good quality
3-as I was planning on doing this I heard the new HD would come off 110w so I decided to use the 5.5 dish on 119 which is weaker than 110w and the 4.5 f dtish for 110w

overall I'm just going to wait until august 1 I'm sick of waiting for my HD pack to get upgraded and I have no plans of 61.5w unless dish gives me $300.00 to buy a used 6ft channel master

Regarding the discrepancy between the "HD Enabled, HD Pak" and the "AK/HI/PR/VI HD Pak", did Dish Tech Support give you any indication if this will be corrected? Or will customers have to call and go through what you & rdavidowski did?

You have to wait until Saturday to get the HD
prog for free .If you call today they will charge you 9.99

If you want to keep your 625 you will need to purchase then.The upgrades we must swap receivers.

Hey Tom congrats !!!! Always here to help. Anything else your welcomed. Anyhow on you question about my account I'll post here a print screen of what is on my account. Compare with yours and check where is the difference. I'm pretty sure that my recivers are mapping all de PR HD's of off spotbeem 48 at sat 110. The rest are coming off of Sat 61.5 on their respective channel mapping. Also getting WGN and CI off of sat 110. For the rest of my PR friends if you want the Platinum Pkg bypass the regular CSR and get to an Advance Enginering Specialist they will, after a while, connect you to tier 2 engineirs and they will be able to work the magic for you. Remember to be specific on what you ask for, ask for Platinum Service keeping the PR Local DMA.

Hey Tom I know you explained to me how to attach a DP LNB to the 5.5 antennas I have, but would you be kind enough to post some photos of the modification. And how I am going to be able to make the square neck of the DP LNB fit the round base on the channel master antenna?

Hi last night I chat with a csr to get the 1 penny offer for cinemax and after the offer was apply to my account I lost the HD even the HD I had before.

Should I cancel HD and get It tomorow and see if I get the $10 discount?

Other thing I have a sat pointing at 61.5 but not conected to my dish setup. Next week I plan to conect the sat and plan to get a csr to activate the HD.

Uff man my setup consist of Channel Master Dishes but I'm going to ask my business partner if he have some pics. We have taken pics out of many of our installations, but I lost mine when I misplaced a flash drive that cointains all the pics that I downloaded on my pc at work.

So one of my customers and friend live close to my house, so I'll get those pics for you..

Tom your account is exactly like mine with the expetion of the superstations but that shouln't make a difference.

On the other topic how do you adapted the channel master to fit the square neck of the DP LNB? This is besides the modification that you explain to me for the 5 footers. I have 61.5 with the CM antenna and the other two are 5.5' for 110 and 119.
