Will those that did not have a 501/508 receiver already active on their account be subject now to the DVR fees or will they also get two years worth of credits towards the fees? Or is this only for those with existing 501/508 on the account?
Good question, I have a 508 as a secondary receiver. Was told no price increases through 2012 but sure enough here it goes up again. I should have known.

At this point, (just like with the Disney HD channels), I'll believe it when I see it.And now they are onto question time. So not much again from this chat...
I was hoping to hear some news on the DISH Sling Extender, which I am hearing (RUMOR ALERT) will be available in Mid August!
But its not going up, you are getting a credit for the difference for 2 years...
So you bill goes up ZERO.
I would love to get in on that .99 multi sport pack...i hope they allow existing customers...that would be great
This is the time of year when D* offers the NFL package free of charge to new subs so I guess this is E*'s response.
Model 501 and 508 receiver users will see a price increase on their DVR service to be in line with the rest of DISH Networks DVR services.
HOWEVER most customers will see a credit for that increase for the next 2 years.
This move is to fix issues with DISH Networks billing software.
I am told there is no plan on making the Multi Sport offer available for new customers.
It is their way of competing against DIRECTV's Free NFL Sunday Tickets for new customers deal which is going on.
... I wish someone would have jumped in with a question as to when they will stop fighting with Disney and get those HD channels back.
