DISH Names New CEO, Group Presidents, CHRO; Announces Organizational Framework

Clayton was a good man. He came to the call center and apparently in the time I was there, I made an impact because he had called on me after the speech to talk to me. He just wanted to say hi and that he had heard good things about me. It was really an honor.

I could tell the biggest problem with Dish CEOs that is not Charlie, is that they report to Charlie and are stunted in what they can do, and then get blamed for the failures in the media. I honestly don’t think Clayton was as bad as the media made him out to be, I just think he had his hands tied.

I say you are going to be surprised. ;)
Well if there is a surprise it would be welcome, but if history is any indicator of future behavior , I say it won’t happen. But Charlie might pull another rabbit out of his hat, like he did the distant network company back in the day. No one saw that one coming either.

If sprint really isn’t doing good I could see them getting desperate and just selling out to Dish. Just because they didn’t make a deal to merge doesn’t mean they won’t get desperate and do whatever it takes to stay around. And if that does happen Dish will be in charge which I think would work better than the DirecTV/AT&T merger where AT&T is in charge.

I talked to him about that, and he agreed when he started he was more of a figurehead CEO then actual CEO. He was there to motivate people and pump up the brand. He succeeded.

He also told me before he left that he pushed his way and got more involved as time went on. He wanted to do the best he could.

I really enjoyed my time with him. Always treated me like I was family. We could get together and talk about anything and have a great time doing it.

I say they will be selling off the wireless spectrum that they aren't ever going to use ,before the 2020 deadline or the government takes it back. Unless he merges with another cell phone company , there is no way that I see DISH ever getting into the business now. He has a little over 2 years to build a wireless network. Not going to happen.

Why don’t you go out to Denver and set it straight for Charlie.

Is he listening to that bluegrass music in HD? :D
Taking this a bit off topic, Neil Young has put just about everything he ever recorded into an archive that will be free until June 2018.

The reason I bring this up is that it is available in a file format he calls Xtream, a high-rez 192khz/24. For this dense an audio file, your setup needs to be as robust as it is for 4K video. There is even a toggle where you can go from a standard MP3 rate of 320kbps to the one that will blow you away. (at least if you're familiar with Neil's music) Neil Young Archives
