Dish lied to me!

OK so here's the story. I called Dish Network on March 4th to cancel because it was getting to expensive for me. On sunday March 8 I got a call from Dish Network, it was a DN specialist. He was trying to convince me to stay. He offered Dish Latino for free for 3 months. I asked him if there would be a reconnection or any other fees (knowing Dish and all their fees) the guy said no. I decided to accept the offer. He told me I would have to call within 90 days so I don't get charged.

Today I just got a bill of 140 dollars, the bill is for 2 months in advanced. I thought it was going to be for free. :// I called Dish Network right now and they told me that Dish Network never calls their customers. I started to wonder who called. They transfered me to a specialist and I told him everything all over again. He offered me more packages for free for the next 6 months. I didn't want to accept this because I would probably be charged again. I decided to cancel. So a box should arrive from UPS soon.
 
Well they are full of crap if they told you Dish doesn't call. When I cancelled they called me the next day trying to get me back.


after ten years they didn't hesitate nor did they ever call after i canceled less than a year ago. the feeling is mutual ;)
 
they do call,, id call back ask for a supervisor and explan if that dont work then ask for there loyalty department... also when i call i ask for a american lol or hang up till i get 1, seams those foriners they have dont understand nothing.. been with them like 6yrs now can tell u lots nightmares, one time i got 4 deffrent answers for 1 question ..
 
Anytime you cut off, you start again like a new customer.. You get a bill for the first two months of service.. The only question is did they charge you a reconnect fee of $25 like they do everyone who reconnects.. If they promised to waive that and didn't then you may have a beef.. But you will not have a beef on the two month charge.. It's standard.
 
If you disconnect service early then they will refund the remaining balance on your account that you paid ahead unless you pay annually in which they do not refund annual payments.
 
U are not ALONE.. Dish has the F-UP billing service problem. I upgrade back in October, Add new DVR and EX /package, they charge me instead $120 to $257…I fighting since OCT & talked to 3 superviser and manager till now, they say next month would be ok charge delete this and that refund this and that, and next month after same old sh*t over & over!! till now is march cant get they sh*t together!! Is REAL AWFUL in billing cycle..They should FIRED everyone in billing DEP and reorganize the system! U and me no alone alots people I know have the same old issue with DISH billing!
 
I got 6 months of HD free, HBO and Starz free for 3 months and $10.00 off every month for 12 months. They do call, I think they call them retention managers.
 
i understand the posts about dish lying but what sat or cable co out there is completely honest? doesn't exist. :no
