I just wanted to share my experience the main Stars channel has moved off the 61.5 satellite and CS reps. aren't aware of it. It was told it was my receiver. CS replaced the receiver and still didn't get the HD channel only then they realized the channel is no longer on the 61.5 channel. I had a new dish setup for EA arc to get all the channels. Does anybody know what's the picture resolution size on EA arc channels.

HD programming is getting moved off of 61.5 satellite and on to the 72.7 satellite. You need to get moved on to the Eastern Arc with a 1000.4 dish. The eastern arc consists of the satellites 61.5/72.7/77. Your 211 does not need to be replaced.

to the HD scene and only recently added 61.5 Not familiar with 77..... I'm in Puerto Rico, btw. 6ft and
4ft dishes ! No snow buildup problems

They aren't consolidating 3 sat into 1. You either need to be on EA or WA. Allot of 61.5 HD will be moved to 72.7 but it's my understanding that PR will not be able to pic it up due to foot print.There was a recent discussion about a new sat going up in EA or a move of a sat that will allow more HD in PR. The ones that don't pay attention to the updates, they are telling us about the migration. At least I found out about it by reading the updates. Before I saw it here.

You are basically screwed right now Dish only supports 110/119 in PR. 61.5 not supported and as already stated by others HD is moving off the 61.5. There are rumors about us getting more HD content and eventually a new Sat being launched, but don't hold your breath. Believe it when you see it. There is no easter arc or western arc set up for PR customers, that is for the 48 states.
More migration from 61.5 coming for the internationals. All internationals will be off 61.5 by the end of October. Internationals on 118.7 only.
I remember seeing a schedule for finishing next spring. They must be accelerating for some reason. HMMMM.

Dear 48 states......... No sir, I am watching 61.5 right this minute. The dish is pointed about 79 degrees up and almost due South.

61.5 is not officially supported for PR. It works for many, but that is not a setup Dish supports.
This was the original schedule. If they're accelerating it then I guess they want to free the bandwidth as soon as they can.
